Hello, my loves.
Firstly, thank you for being so loving, supportive and patient with me … it’s been a whole month since my waters unexpectedly broke and our baby girl arrived at 30 weeks. Wow, what a wild journey it’s been, and continues to be.
I write this as I sit in my hospital bed. I’m not sick, I’m well and her birth was beautiful (despite being in a hospital). Luckily, I’m allowed to stay here in the maternity ward so that I can be just steps away from the special care nursery where she is. This allows me to be by her side around the clock, and to breastfeed her as much as I can.
To live in a hospital for a few weeks, and to birth my child in a hospital … gosh, if you know me well, you know this is all very new territory for me!
